Calculation formula

Base = fu × 2(2 + han). Apply seat / win-type multipliers, round up each amount to the nearest 100:

  • Non-dealer ron = base × 4
  • Non-dealer tsumo = base × 1 (per non-dealer) + base × 2 (dealer)
  • Dealer ron = base × 6
  • Dealer tsumo = base × 2 each, collected from three non-dealers

When base reaches 2,000 the hand becomes mangan (capped). Some rulesets additionally apply kiriage mangan to 4 han 30 fu and 3 han 60 fu (base 1,920); this calculator does not apply kiriage (so 4 han 30 fu = 7,700 non-dealer ron).

Worked examples

  • 3 han 30 fu, non-dealer ron = 30 × 25 = 960, ×4 = 3,840 → rounds to 3,900
  • 3 han 30 fu, non-dealer tsumo = 960 → 1,000 each non-dealer, 1,920 → 2,000 dealer = 1,000-2,000
  • 5 han, non-dealer ron = mangan, fixed at 8,000
  • 2 han 25 fu, non-dealer ron (chiitoitsu only) = 25 × 24 = 400, ×4 = 1,600
  • 1 han 30 fu, dealer ron = 30 × 23 = 240, ×6 = 1,440 → rounds to 1,500
